The Position:
As a Senior UI/UX Designer, the ideal candidate should have experience in website user interface design. Specifically, experience using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create user-centered layouts, from conceptualization to the production of final assets for development. The Junior UX Designer will work closely with product team members to craft UX artifacts into beautiful hi-fidelity user interface designs—according to business requirements, stakeholder feedback and the needs of our millions of users. No pressure.

- A passion for user interface craftsmanship
- A keen eye for design aesthetics and UX sensibilities
- Proven skills in creating user interfaces with Adobe Creative Cloud tools
- An ability to communicate ideas with stakeholders and design requirements to developers
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Development and QA to implement innovative solutions for the product direction, and user experience
- Contribute to the creation of wireframes, mock-ups, designs, interactions, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas
- Participate in UX design research and documentation
- Work within a team environment and independently
Must haves:
- 2+ years of professional design experience
- Relevant accredited post-secondary education
- Participate in UX design research and documentation
- Understanding of current web technology capabilities (HTML, CSS, JS)
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to handle feedback well
- Pixel perfect attention to detail
You must be able to provide proof of legal authorization to work in Canada and for Absorb Software out of the Calgary office.
